About Joy Cruz

Joy Cruz is an NR practitioner and an RMT consultant who works with children and adults who have academic, physical, emotional or behavioral problems.  She is passionate about helping people find healing through NR, RMT, therapeutic care-giving and real foods.

Joy first became interested in NR and RMT when one of her five children experienced significant developmental delays.  Watching her daughter being tormented by sensory problems and family life being disrupted by constant challenging behaviors was hard.  The family started helping the child with NR exercises and noticed improvements within the first week.  Around the same time, one of Joy’s sons experienced a life-changing traumatic brain injury.  This son was a happy and capable boy at home and school before the accident, but after the injury he could no longer read, write, play the guitar or play the piano, activities he used to love.  He isolated himself and became destructive.  Both children are now thriving after going through a complete program of NR and RMT.  Family life is more peaceful and joyful than was imagined possible.

Joy has a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance.  She started teaching music in 1994, both private lessons and classes.  She also has experience teaching in home-school coops and in homeschooling her own children.  Joy draws from her experience in education as she helps children and families with their movement programs.  Believing that children can heal from brain injuries and disrupted development, she finds great joy in walking with families as they pursue greater health.

Joy is exceedingly grateful to her teachers and mentors, including Susan Scott and Sonia Story.
